Figurative Abstracts
Inspired by everyday situations people are in, the collection Nutshells has evolved to express human nature in abstract form without the need to show their facial expression. The collection revolves around humans symbolized through nutshells. The limited pieces I have in this collection represent a family or group in certain environments: at the theater or a garden for example.
The idea behind it is to show the differences between people in shape, facial features and context in a subtle manner, like a fingerprint of a person which can’t be replicated or doubled. The emotion is not strongly present in this collection but there is still a relatable essence to it. As an abstract artist, the techniques and texture present in all the paintings is the main focus of the artwork which I hope will capture the viewers attention and allow them to connect with the pieces.
